Sun Devils Win Game Two Against Rival Wildcats

PHOENIX, ARIZONA (April 12, 2015) The Arizona State University Sun Devils add another victory over the Arizona Wildcats by a score of 13-7 on Sunday, April 12 at Phoenix Municipal Stadium.

Ryan Kellogg was awarded the win. He threw 100 pitches in 5.2 innings allowing ten hits and five runs.  He is now 6-1 on the season.

Colby Woodmansee had three hits with four times at bat, getting four RBI. David Greer also had a productive game at the plate with three RBI. 

The Sun Devils started the game strong with four runs in the first inning, three in the second, two in the fifth and finished strong producing four runs in the bottom of the eighth.

After Monday's game against the Wildcats, the Sun Devils travel to Seattle, Washington for a three game series covered by Pac-12 Networks against the Washington Huskies on April 17-19, 2015. Game time for Friday and Saturday is 7:00 p.m. Sunday's game time is 1:00 p.m. PST.

Arizona's Bobby Dalbec Hits 2 Home Runs In Win Over the Sun Devils
PHOENIX, ARIZONA (April 13, 2015) After hitting a home run in the second inning, Arizona Wildcats' sophomore Bobby Dalbec (Parker, Colo.) pounds a two run home run over the left field fence in the top of the ninth to give the Wildcats the lead over rival Arizona State University Sun Devils. The Wildcats won the game after scoring six runs  in the ninth for a final score of 7-2 over the Sun Devils on Monday, April 13 at Phoenix Municipal Stadium.

Dalbec had an amazing day at bat getting three RBI and on the mound pitching 4.1 innings allowing only five hits with four strikeouts.

Even though the Sun Devils won two out of the three games in this series, the Wildcats established that giving up is not an option. They will be traveling to Oregon to play the Oregon State Beavers in a three game Pac-12 conference series on April 17-19. Friday's game starts at 5:35 p.m. PST. Saturday's game is at 4:05 p.m. and Sunday's game starts at 1:05 p.m.

Sun Devils Get Walkoff Win Over The Wildcats 5-4

PHOENIX, ARIZONA (April 11, 2015) The No. 9-ranked Arizona State University Sun Devils had bases loaded with one out in the bottom of the ninth when senior Jake Peevyhouse (Phoenix,AZ) hit a walkoff single for the 5-4 win over the No. 24-ranked University of Arizona Wildcats in the first of a three game weekend on April 11 at Phoenix Municipal Stadium.

The Wildcats lead the all-time series 242-210-1. These three games are part of the overall five games required for baseball in the Territorial Cup between these schools. In all, there are twenty sports participating. Currently, the Sun Devils lead the Cup scoring with 7.5 to the Wildcats' 5.5. 

After this three game series against the Wildcats, the Sun Devils travel to Seattle, Washington for a three game series covered by Pac-12 Networks against the Washington Huskies on April 17-19, 2015. Game time for Friday and Saturday is 7:00 p.m. Sunday's game time is 1:00 p.m. PST.

The Top-Ranked Bruins Cool the Sun Devils 11-5

TEMPE, ARIZONA (April 4, 2015) The #7 ranked Arizona State University Sun Devils Water Polo team lose to the #1 ranked UCLA Bruins by a score 11-5 on Saturday, April 4 at Mona Plummer Aquatic Center in Tempe, AZ.

ASU's Goalie E.B. Keeve gets 13 saves against #1 Bruins
The Sun Devils' goalie E.B. Keeve (redshirt junior from Naperville, Ill.) played all 32 minutes, recording 13 saves but was unable to keep the Bruins from scoring 11 times - three goals in the first period, three goals in the second, and a total of five goals in the third period.

The Bruins' goalie Sami Hill protected the net for the complete match, collecting 11 saves and allowing only five balls to get past her.

The Sun Devils' Izabella Chiappini scored twice while Alkistis Benekou, Petra Pardi, and Kayla Casas each scored one goal.

The Bruins' Rachel Fattal led the team's scoring with three goals. Fattal scored two goals in the first period and one in the second. Ashley Zwimer scored twice, one in the first period and another in the second period. One goal was awarded to each of the following: Alys Williams, Elissia Schilling, Devin Grab, Danielle Ferraro, Alexis Angemund, and Emily Donahue.

The Sun Devils will be traveling to Berkeley, CA to play California on Sunday, April 12 at 12:00 p.m. PST. The game will be covered on the Pac-12 Networks and can be viewed online at: http://pac-12.com/network/pac-12-Arizona

Sun Devils Defeat The NMSU Aggies 7-3

PHOENIX, ARIZONA (March 31, 2015) The Arizona State University Sun Devils score early in the game when sophomore Colby Woodmansee (Phoenix, AZ) hit a two run home run in the first inning. In the bottom of the sixth inning, senior Trever Allen (Tempe,AZ) hit a three run home run adding to the Sun Devils 7-3 win over New Mexico State Aggies on Tuesday, March 31 at Phoenix Municipal stadium.

Sun Devils' sophomore David Greer, from Scottsdale, AZ, went three for four at the plate and scored once. Joey Bielek, a senior from Scottsdale, AZ had two hits with three at bats and scored twice.

Sophomore Lucas Martinez (Fairfax, VA) led the Aggies with two hits, one rbi, and one run scored. Daniel Johnson (sophomore from Vallejo, CA) had two hits and scored one run. Cameron Haskins, senior from El Paso, TX scored after getting on base by being walked.

Sun Devils' junior pitcher David Graybill (Phoenix, AZ) posted a 0.00 era and freshman Ryan Hingst (El Paso, TX) was awarded the win with a 3.38 era.

During the postgame interview, Trever Allen was asked how he felt about the performance of the team so far this season, he stated "If we do these things, and stay true to our plan, we're going to be special".

The Sun Devils travel to Utah for a Pac-12 televised three game series April 2,3, and 4. Games on Thursday and Friday start at 6 P.M. MST. Saturday, April 4 game time is 5 p.m. MST.
