Coming into this weekend, the Sun Devils lead the all-time series with a 49-15 record against the Cougars.
This was the first shutout of the season for the No.12 ranked Sun Devils.

Brian Serven gets two RBI with his double in the eighth inning to put the final scores on the board.
In the post game interview with Ryan Kellogg, he was asked how it felt to pitch the whole game. He responded "Getting through the first inning with three strike outs felt good, especially after starting <the game> with three balls."
When asking about his glove scooping throw to first for an out, Kellogg smiled, and said "Skip always says No Superman Plays". He then finished his comment with "gotta keep it interesting I guess".
Sun Devil Coach Tracy Smith spoke well of Ryan's performance tonight. He stated "That's been him all year. He's the guy that goes out there all year, and does his job." He said "At this point, we're going to go out there with our best option. If we lose, it's going to be with our best guy".
The Sun Devils host the Cougars Friday at 4 p.m. and then Saturday at 7 p.m. at Phoenix Municipal Stadium. All three games will be televised on Pac-12 Networks and can be heard on NBC Sports Radio AM 1060.
