SANTA ANA, CA (January 12, 2015) On a rainy and
cloudy weekend with temperatures in the mid 60’s, the USA Water Polo’s National League began its inaugural season at Segerstrom High School, January 11-12,
2015.
The
weather did not deter fans who were ready for exciting performances from the
seven teams that make up the new league. The teams are comprised of the top
college and high school water polo players in the country.
The
goal of the newly established National League is to gain experience and become
a world powerhouse in an Olympic sport that has been dominated by European countries
since the 1900 Summer Olympics.
The
first of four weekends ended with the following results:

The
National League will play at Miramonte High School in Orinda, CA for Week 2 on
February 7-8. Admission is free.
